Library Administrator â€“ Coffey County Library (KS)
The Board of Trustees of the Coffey County Library seeks a highly motivated and proactive Administrator to provide strategic vision and leadership.Â The Administrator will grow and enhance library services to the Coffey County community through the effective management of library staff, technology, and resources in our six branches.
Located in Southeast Kansas, Coffey County is home to Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant, 9,000 residents, and 6 small, but very supportive, communities encompassing three exceptional school districts.Â Coffey County Library (22 FTEs) utilizes a budget of $1.2 million in the operation of 6 branches, and boasts an annual circulation of 146,000 and annual program attendance of 18,000.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Masters of Library Science from an American Library Association accredited institution; five years of progressively responsible public library experience; two years of proven public library management.Â Essential attributes include personal integrity, thorough knowledge of financial management, flexibility, creativity, and an understanding of philosophy, trends and best practices in the library and information technology fields.
The salary range is $51,000 – $55,000 with a competitive benefits package.
