The Tin Roof Blowdown by James Lee Burke
In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, there is no law and no order. Bodies float in the streets and in the midst of this nightmare, Robicheaux must find two serial rapists, a morphine addicted priest and a vigilante who may be more dangerous than the criminals looting the city. James Lee Burke is one of the most descriptive writers I have read in a while.  His characters are complex and very realistic.  Be prepared to stay up very late because you won’t want to stop reading this action packed, well written novel until you’ve finished the very last page.
