Book Review – Falling for You

Seventeen year old, Rae, thinks she finds an escape from her not so perfect home life when the new guy at school becomes her first love. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned and Rae struggles to end the relationship. As her world collapses around her, she turns to poetry and her best friend to cope and discover the true meaning of love. I believe the line “where light shines, darkness disappears” fits the book’s theme perfectly. Even through all of her troubles, Rae never gives up on hope. This dark contemporary read speaks to a wide audience. If that’s your style, Falling for You by Lisa Schroeder just might be “for you”.
